Travel and time spent outdoors at home in either Cambridge or Becket, Massachusetts have been rich sources of paintings, either from photographs, memory, or fantasy.  For me, interesting ‘scapes of any kind (land-, night-, water-, garden-,etc.) contain stories or evoked emotions as well as colors and shapes. Since the Covid pandemic began in spring of 2020, I have been escaping into paintings of gardens, either in oil using palette knife and toothpicks for an impasto style, or in pastel.
